Here's how I do my Friday Finds posts: I quote a little something from the review that convinced me to add the book on my wishlist. This is the first time I've heard of the author David Almond but a review by Vivienne over at the blog Serendipity really made me want to check out his writing, here's a snipet from Vivienne's review of Jackdaw Summer:
Almond has done it again. What a brilliant book.
I loved the storyline and the ending was totally unexpected.
CarrieK over at Books and Movies wrote a great review of Beastly by Alex Flinn, both Carrie and her 13 year old daughter loved it. That tells me that I need to read this book. Here's a taste from her review:
