Book review: Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 1 by Stephenie Meyer, Young Kim

My summary:
I don't think any one needs a summary of Twilight really. Even if you haven't read the book I'm pretty sure you might know something about the plot of this story.

My thoughts:
I loved Twilight when I first read it so I was eager to find out if the magic was still there in the graphic version of the novel. I finished the book in no time and I'm a bit sad to say that I was disappointed. I couldn't feel any emotions coming of the pages, it just felt kind of flat.

On a positive note I loved the drawings, Young Kim is a very talented illustrator. The drawings alone made me want to read Volume 2.

The cover:
Magical and sparkley(now there's a surprise ;)).

My rating of this book:
3 stars out of 5

This book can be purchased from a number of local retailers and on-line book stores such as Amazon or The Book Depository (I'm not an affiliate of either). The latter store does by the way have free shipping to about 100 countries.

  1. Its too bad the angst didn't translate to illustration. Thanks for the review (and BTW - you have an awesome library!)

  2. @Sweet Vernal Zephyr:Too me it just looked like Bella was an awfully sweaty person LOL

Yes, our library is ok, but understandably their focus is mainly on Norwegian literature. So most of the books I want to read, in the genres I love, I have to buy.
